How often should I have a massage?
In our first consultation we will discuss your ailments and needs and set up a treatment plan accordingly. Weekly, fortnightly, monthly are all options, or perhaps just a one-off treatment is needed. Regular massage will help to optimize your body and muscles and help to prevent aches, pains or injury.

How can I choose the correct massage treatment?

Before any treatment we will go over how you’re feeling and what your needs are. I will then adapt and advise on the best type of massage that you require and will always check the pressure is ok for you and talk you through any concerns or answer any questions you may have.

What should I wear for my massage?
It’s up to you, whatever you feel most comfortable in. During the treatment you will be covered entirely by towels, you may want to add some loose clothing whilst doing the stretches.

What are the different stretches you offer as part of the treatment?

STATIC STRETCHES

Assisted stretches taking muscles to point of stretch and holding them there to aid muscle release and improve muscle healing.

ASSISTED STRETCHES

MET : MUSCLE ENERGY TECHNIQUES ( by holding and relaxing muscles)
PNF : PROPRIOCEPTIVE NEUROMUSCULAR FACILITATION (by contracting and relaxing muscles)

Where the therapist and client work together in maintaining optimum flexibility and range of movement in specific muscle areas by using breathing techniques whilst holding/contracting and releasing the muscles.
